Recruitment FAQ
What is Rush?
Rush is a period of recruitment events where you get to meet the brothers and see if Sigma Nu is the right fit for you. It’s casual, fun, and a great way to meet people.
Is there a GPA requirement?
We look for men who take their academics seriously. While there is no strict cutoff for rushing, we generally look for a GPA of 3.0 or higher from high school or college.
Does rushing commit me to joining?
Not at all. Rushing is simply a way to explore your options. You are not obligated to join, and you can attend events at multiple fraternities to find the best fit.
What is a "Bid"?
A bid is a formal invitation to join the fraternity. Bids are given out towards the end of the rush period to men we believe embody the values of Sigma Nu.
